Rating the Parks of Visalia

Pick Up the Pace

Put me in, coach! I'm ready to go!

This site is a dedication to Aunt Carol by rating the parks of Visalia. We have and will travel to every park of Visalia and give a rating on the status of each park. No, we're not a bunch of weirdos with too much time on our hands. This is serious business. The world must know about the state of Visalia parks.

Blain Park

In our first adventure out in the great outdoors,  we ventured forth to Blain Park, which is a 7-acre park located on Court St. It hosts a sidewalk, a playground, and bathrooms, all the hallmarks of a great park. We were going to tag up the bathrooms like the rebellious teenagers we are (we're not), but they were locked presumably to keep the squirrels out or something. We walked a lap or eight around the park (we're total fitness buffs, ya know), and lapped every jogger there (we didn't). In the end, we agreed that the sidewalks were a little bumpy for walker wheels and not being able to graffiti the bathrooms was definitely a miss for this park. I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Constitution Park

Here we have Constitution Park, a smaller park located on Tulare and Crenshaw. We visited this park after we were thrown out of Blain Park for complaining about not being able to deface the bathrooms at Blain Park. Unfortunately, we then picked a park that had no bathrooms at all so we still weren't able to graffiti some bathrooms. Aunt Carol had even picked out the spray paint to match her nails! The atmosphere was nice at this park, but it is a much smaller park, so we had to do at least 12 laps to get the same distance as before. The park is newer so it had less bumpy sidewalks, but it did have some downhill portions. Overall, it was a really nice park, but not being able to deface some bathroom walls like the hooligans we are (we aren't) was again a miss. I'm also giving it a 4 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stay tuned for more adventures of Aunt Carol and Kate!
